L Acoustics... why?

L Acoustics is certainly not the only major brand of professional speakers, a few other names easily come to mind.

Some people may argue at length that such and such has a better low mid response or cleaner transients but, we could probably all agree that, at this level of quality, it is down to the sound technician getting the best out of a system to really make it shine.

L Acoustics provides a powerful preset system though, meaning that out of the box, they already give you quite an amazing sound. Then, of course, the same preset would sound totally different depending on the venue but at this point, the brand is irrelevant. A bad room is a bad room, there are ways to deal with it, but, at least, with presets you have a very decent starting point.

Now, when it comes to the A series, the speakers are very portable, easy to rig and altogether relatively compact, making our job a lot easier.

The A series design is clean & minimalistic, probably not to everyone’s taste as many people really don’t like black boxes but they generally work well in most environments.

With coaxial series such as the X4i or X8, speakers have a very small size that belies their sound quality. They can easily fit in most venues.
